Aubrey's Attic

Today it was a great privilege and honor to attend the Marine Graduation Ceremony for Company L, in Parris Island, SC. My son’s best friend was in Platoon 3056. He went through 3 months of basic training and came out a Marine, Pvt. M. P. Fraser. To watch Matt today was bittersweet. I’ve watched him grow from a little boy into an incredible young man. He will serve our country well and he was so proud to be a Marine. It saddened me too - I will not get to see him on such a regular basis - I will miss his large appetite, his cheerful attitude and the way he reminded my son to listen to his mother! J America has gained a great asset today in the Marine Corp – please remember all our troops in your prayers.
